Create or modify file protection snapshot policies

Network-attached storage is a file-level storage architecture that makes stored data more accessible to networked devices.

Steps

  1. Select a storage system that supports PowerMax File.
  2. Select Data Protection > File Protection.
  3. Select SNAPSHOT POLICY.
  4. Click Create to create a snapshot policy or select an existing policy and select Modify.
  5. Select a NAS server and type the name.
  6. Enter the properties for Recovery Point Objective.
  7. Select the File Snapshot access type.
  8. Create only: Select the Replicate snapshot policy to the remote system if NAS server has an active replication session checkbox.
  9. Select the Enable snapshot policy to take snapshots on all attached file systems as per set recovery point objective checkbox.
  10. Click OK.
